Title:
BUOYANCY TANK FOR HULL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61220996
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To fill up pressure air in a buoyancy tank and give auxiliary buoyancy to the hull at the time of emergency as well as aim at the effective utilization of an inboard space at normal time, by attaching each buoyancy tank composed of a flexible airtight member to both symmetrical broadside parts of the hull more upward than a hull water line via a locking member. CONSTITUTION:An expandable buoyancy tank 3 made up of a flexible airtight member is attached tight to both hull's symmetrical broadside parts more upward than the water line of the hull of a small fishing boat or the like via a rubberlike cord 5 and an engaged piece 6. At normal time, the flexible buoyancy tank 3 is made into a state of being contracted whereby an inboard space at both these broadside parts is effectively utilizable. At emergency, it is expanded with pressure air filled up, thus the specified auxiliary buoyancy can be given to the hull.
