Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burglar preventing mechanism which prevents burglar of not only a portable information processor but also an incorporated PC card.
SOLUTION: This burglar preventing mechanism includes the body 4 of a portable information processor that has slots into which PC cards 14 and 16 are inserted, a card lock 22 which is attached to the body in a slidable way between a 1st position that allows the cards 14 and 16 to be inserted into the slots and a 2nd position that prevents the cards 14 and 16 inserted into the slots from being pulled out, a long hole 24 which adjoins the lock 22 and is formed on the body 4 and a burglar preventing tool 26 which engages with the hole 24 and prevents the burglar of the information processor. The tool 26 has a tip engaging part that is integrally formed with an inner lock member, and when the tip engaging part is inserted into the long hole and the inner lock member is turned to a lock position in an outer lock member, the tip engaging part is prevented from being pulled out of the hole 24 and also the outer lock member comes into contact with the lock 22 to prevent the lock 22 from being slid in the direction of the 1st position.
