To provide a burner for removing oil mist which has enhanced efficiency of removing oil mist, which is easily mounted on each smoke exhaustion section such as a heat treatment furnace as an emission source of oily smoke, and which can incinerate and remove oil mist in the smoke exhaust.

The burner includes: at least one oily smoke inlet 11 to be connected to a flue where smoke exhaust 12 containing oil mist is passed; a combustion chamber 10 which is vertically disposed and forms a space where the smoke exhaust 12 introduced through the oily smoke inlet 11 is combusted; a nozzle tip 2 which is disposed coaxial with the center of the combustion chamber 10 and has a nozzle hole 3 for jetting flame to the axial direction; and a baffle plate 6 which is disposed opposing to the nozzle hole 3 of the nozzle tip 2 and forms an annular flow passage 16 between itself and the combustion chamber 10 to pass the smoke exhaust 12. Flames 17 jetted from the nozzle hole 3 collide on the baffle plate 6 to radially spread, and thereby, a film of flame that blocks the flow passage 16 between the combustion chamber 10 and the baffle plate 6 is formed, and the exhaust smoke 12 introduced through the oily smoke inlet 11 is thoroughly brought into contact with the flames 17 and then exhausted.
