This burner 1 is constituted by arranging a combustion plate 3 on an inner peripheral face 201 of a cylindrical combustion cylinder 2. The combustion plate 3 is provided with many injection holes 31 for injecting air-fuel mixture G composed of fuel and air, and many injection holes 31 are arranged on a plurality of virtual circles drawn concentrically using a central part of the combustion plate 3 as the center of circle. The combustion plate 3 has a tapered face 32 formed so as to reduce thickness of the combustion plate 3 toward an outer peripheral side in a surface part in the vicinity of a flame holding part 22 of the combustion cylinder 2. Many injection holes 31B arranged on a first outer side virtual circle positioned on the outermost side are formed by passing through and crossing the tapered face 32 orthogonally, and many injection holes 31A arranged on the remaining virtual circle are formed by passing through in the axial direction L of the combustion cylinder 2.
