Title:
BURNER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3863631
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the NOx emission by a method wherein partially-cone- shaped bodies are overlapped with each other and the overlap angle is increased in the flow direction of a burner to increase distance between a fuel injector and an air influent plane in the burner with the increase in overlap angle.
SOLUTION: Partially-cone-shaped bodies 1 and 2 are overlapped with each other, and the overlap angle δ is 0° at the apex of the cone-shaped body and gradually increases in the flow direction up to a front plate so that the overlap walls form a flow path of combustion air 7. To the similar extent of change in overlap angle, a fuel injector is shifted in the upstream direction and the position of a fuel injecting plane 22 with respect to the air influent plane 21 is changed along the burner toward a burner front so that a premixing zone stretching from the fuel injector to the air influent plane 21 is gradually widened. Therefore, gaseous fuel 16 and combustion air 7 are mixed homogeneously and the flame temperature is lowered, resulting in a reduction of NOx emission.
