PURPOSE: To reduce the size of a burning apparatus by increasing the load of flame holes, to improve the usability of the burning apparatus by increasing the restriction ratio of combustion rate, and to simplify combustion control by enlarging the stable combustion region of the burning apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: A burner body 3 has a bilaterally symmetrical form which comprises a mixture passage 6 and flow restricting holes 7 formed at its central portion, an inclined pressure equalizing plate 8, a mixing chamber 9 separated by the mixture passage 6 and the pressure equalizing plate 8, and a multiplicity of main flame holes 10 located on the downstream side of the mixing chamber 9. Further, a pair of flame keeping chambers 11 and secondary-air chambers 12 are formed on both sides of the mixture chamber 9. The flame keeping chamber 11 is formed with holes 13 communicated with the mixture chamber 9, holes 14 communicated with the secondary-air chamber 12 and flame holding holes 15 located in the vicinity of the main flame holes 10. Further, the secondary-air chamber 12 is formed, on the downstream side of the main flame holes 10, with many secondary-air holes 17 which are opened in a combustion chamber 16.
