To suppress fusion welding between ceramics and a support member by burning the ceramics in a burning furnace while the ceramics are placed on the support member made of a heat-resistant alloy.
A number of tiles 12 being piled up in a stage shape on a setter 10 by a spacer 14 are inserted into a burning furnace, and are burned under specific burning conditions. An alloy is appropriately selected according to the burning conditions of the tile 12. When the tile 12 is burned, the fusion welding between the tile and a spacer 14 as a support member can be suppressed. Even when partial fusion welding occurs, a fusion welding part can be easily peeled. because of great difference in the thermal coefficient of expansion between the tile 12 and the spacer 14 made of a heat-resistant alloy. Also, the spacer 14 has a high heat conductivity. Therefore, when the tile 12 is burned by the spacer 14, less heat energy is required on burning, thus reducing burning costs.
