To provide a burning pretreatment liquid with which no scumming occurs after burning treatment, which imparts excellent oil sensitivity and excellent printing durability improving effect to a picture part and which is suitable for automation by use of a spray circulating processor etc. and a method for plate making, with which a planographic printing plate having no defect in the image part, making no smudge occur on a non-picture part and exhibiting excellent printing durability is fabricated.
The burning pretreatment liquid is characterized by containing at least one kind of compound expressed by a general formula (I). Here, in the general formula (I), R1 and R2 represent respectively independently hydrogen atom or methyl group, R3 represents a 1-8C alkyl group, alkenyl group or alkinyl group, m represents an integer of 1-3, a represents 0 or an integer of 1-50, b represents 0 or an integer of 1-50, respectively, where a and b are not simultaneously 0. Also, the method of making the planographic printing plate consists of image exposing of a photosensitive planographic printing plate, developing and subsequently burning treating and includes treating of the plate surface with the burning pretreatment liquid prior to the burning treatment.
