Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end mill that is capable of restraining occurrence of a burr during cutting processing using the same and having low processing cost.SOLUTION: In an end mill, an outer peripheral blade rake surface is formed in a true circular arc in a cross section perpendicular to a tangential direction of a spiral shape with a torsion angle of an outer peripheral blade, and also has a rotary axis in a direction parallel to the tangential direction of the spiral shape with the torsion angle of the outer peripheral blade. The outer peripheral blade rake surface is formed by a processing method that employs a columnar grinding grindstone having a same outer diameter as a circular arc shape of a rake surface cross section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
