Abstract:
PURPOSE: To accurately execute color reproduction independently of an environmental change, a change with the passage of time, and so on.
CONSTITUTION: A TRC 8 is provided with a serial connection of the 1st and 2nd LUTs 10, 11 for an image output part 9. The 1st LUT 10 compensates equivalent neutral density and has linear or approximately linear relation between an input and an output and the 2nd LUT 11 non-linearly compensates the density or lightness of the image output part 9. Thereby compatibility between a masking processing part and the TRC 98 can be improved and the coefficient of a masking matrix can be accurately determined, improving the accuracy of color reproducibility. A control device 14 enters data from a detection means 13 in the image output part 9 and rewrites the table of the 2nd LUT 11. Thereby even if the gradation/reproduction characteristics of the image output part 9 are changed, this image recorder can easily correspond to the change.
