Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable connector which requires only a small operating force, even when the number of cable conductors is large.
SOLUTION: This cable connector includes a contact 13, which has a contact part 15 facing opposite to one side of a cable 11 and a pivotal support part 16 facing opposite to the opposite side of the cable 11, and an operating piece 14 for pressing the cable into contact with the contact part. The operating piece 14 has a cam part 21 located between the pivotal support part 16 and the cable 14 and a hole 19, in which the pivotal support part 16 is inserted with a clearance therebetween. The pivotal support part 16 has a recess part 17 corresponding to the cam part 21. In this way, the operating piece is engaged with the pivotal support part 16 in such a way as to be freely rotatable about the cam part 21.
