To provide a cable feed and pullback device, feeding and pulling back a cable between the machines or the devices, one of which is shifted, without a slip ring generating noise giving an obstacle to measurement and without slackening or entanglement of the cable, and giving no damage to the cable.
This cable feed and pullback device can expand and contract the cable 16 between the machines or the devices without damaging the cable by using a cable holding plate 10. The cable feed and pullback device includes a cable feed and pullback roller and a cable feed and pullback gear to feed and pull back the cable holding plate to which a motor as the cable feed and pullback power and the cable are fixed. The feed and pullback power of the cable holding plate 10 is the motor, the rotating speed of the motor is detected by a rotational position detector, and the feed and pullback speed is controlled by a control device 1 for the motors A, B.
