A nozzle part 12 is equipped on the tip part of a cylindrical body 11 into which a cable 6 of a cable inserting apparatus 10 is inserted, and a compressed air supply pipe 13 from a source of pressure air is connected to the base end side. A base end side of a contact coil 4 constituting the flexible hollow shaft to the nozzle part 12 is inserted into the nozzle part 12, and a flange part 14 is formed in an intermediate position of the nozzle part 12. Holding parts 24 and 24 composed of housings 21 and 21 divided in two for filling an elastic member 23 such as a silicone rubber inside for fixing the flange part 14 are maintained by an attached clamping member 20. Compressed air is supplied to the nozzle part 12, with the tip end of the cable 6 inserted in the contact coil 4. The cable 6 is advanced to the tip side of the contact coil 4 carried by the compressed air.
