Abstract:

To provide a cable joint detecting device in a cable treatment equipment dispensing with securing of a special arrangement space by dint of a dual use of members and effectively preventing an adverse effect on the cable.

A length-measuring unit, pinching a cable 2 from both sides, is provided with a pair of length-measuring rollers 12 sending out the cable 2 by a given length by rotation. The length-measuring rollers 12 and length-measuring roller shafts 32, 33 fixing the rollers 12 are each made of a conductive material, and the length-measuring roller shafts 32, 33 are supported in free rotation by supporting cylinder parts 30, 31 through a resin bush 45. A detection circuit 51 is provided for detecting a joint as an electric conduction due to contact of a joint where peeled terminal parts of the cable are joined with the length-measuring rollers 12 is detected.
