PURPOSE: To perform labor-saving by preventing the damage of a power cable during extending the cable and more automating the laying operation of the cable.
CONSTITUTION: The cable laying apparatus comprises a rotary pulse generator 22 always brought into contact with a power cable 1 during transmitting to constitute pulse generating means for generating a pulse signal based on a moving speed of the cable 1, and a pulse signal processing module 30 for starting a motor 18 for driving a rubber block for transmitting the cable 1 simultaneously upon inputting of the signal from the generator 22 and stopping the motor 18 after a predetermined time is elapsed when the signal is stopped. Thus, the damage of the cable during extending of the cable can be prevented, and the cable can be smoothly towed.
