Abstract:
To provide a cable separating machine for separating a steel wire and an outer cover from each other without adhesion of the lump of the outer cover on the surfaces of rolls, and having reduced maintenance cost.
The cable separating machine is configured such that a cable 2 made by covering the steel wire with the outer cover is inserted between a pair of rotating bodies 3 and 4 rotating opposite to each other, and the cable is pressed to be separated into the outer cover and the steel wire. The direction of grooves formed in rings 7 disposed along a rotating shaft 5 of one rotating body 3 is different from that of grooves formed in rings 7 disposed along a rotating shaft 6 of opposite rotating body 4.
