To provide cable termination connections of a super-conductive electrical energy transmission cable which can stably maintain necessary temperature gradient performance for a long period, by providing a liquid surface detection means which is hard to malfunction and hard to be broken even under the electrical influence such as a magnetic field and induction voltage or the like caused by various surge voltages and a large current invading into ultra-high voltage power transmission lines.
In the cable termination connections of the super-conductive electrical energy transmission cable equipped with a temperature gradient section 12 which is provided at least to one end of the super-conductive electrical energy transmission cable performing power transmission under the super-conductive state and takes out the current flowing in the a superconductor 1 into the atmosphere with a normal temperature, the temperature gradient section 12 has an internal pressure reservoir 21 which has a liquid refrigerant layer 4 in the lower part and a refrigerant gas layer 5 above the liquid refrigerant layer 4, and a temperature sensor 31 is fitted to the outside surface of the internal pressure reservoir 21.
