PURPOSE: To compact a device on the whole by setting an individual cable in a desired length with both ends of it in a desired arrangement and by holding it with a comb-toothlike holder.

CONSTITUTION: As a cable 18 is fed, a measuring roller group 22 is rotated. When the feeding quantity is detected by a rotary encoder 21 and the cable is fed in a desired length, a servo motor 19 is stopped. A clamping mechanism 29 of a front clamp-punch device 16 clamps the tip section of the cable 18. Then, the servo motor 19 works again and a feeding roller group 20 is rotated. The cable 18 is fed out again and the front clamp-punch device 16 begins to pivot in the direction as shown with A in the figure as it is pushed forward by the cable 18. At the point in time the cable 18 is fed to a certain extent, the front clamp-punch device 16 forcibly pivots at 180° through a rotating shaft 28 and is arranged in parallel to a rear clamp-punch device 15 above the comb- toothlike holder 14. At this moment, the cable 18 is bent U-shapedly and held.
