To improve work efficiency, by making winding/extending of a wire mounted in the end part of a cable easily performable from the sideward of a loading space or even from its diagonal rearward to increase a freedom degree of installation of a vehicle at extension line work time of the underground cable.
A wire winding/extending unit 20 for winding/extending a wire W mounted in the end part of a cable by driving a capstan 22 is installed onto a turning base 13 provided in a loading space 12 of a vehicle to be freely horizontally turned. A guide sheave 24 guiding the wire W is constituted as one part of this unit 20, so as to turn the guide sheave 24 too with turning of the unit 20. In addition, this guide sheave 24 is constituted so as to be movable between a position protruded to the outward of the loading space 12 and a position stored in its inward.
