Abstract:
To provide a cable having high tolerance to a flexure or a twist, capable of favorably transmitting signals even with repetitive application of a flexure or a twist.SOLUTION: A cable 1 includes: a cable core 3 having at least one electric wire 2 having an insulator 22 on a circumference of a conductor 21; a shield layer 4 disposed on a circumference of the cable core 3; and a coating layer 5 disposed on a circumference of the shield layer 4. The shield layer 4 is: composed of a laterally wound shield obtained by spirally winding a plurality of assembled twisted wires 41 in which a plurality of metal strands 41a are twisted together, onto a circumference of the cable core 3 with the assembled twisted wires 41 having contact with each other; and provided with a gap 42 at a portion surrounded with the assembled twisted wires 41 neighboring with each other in a circumferential direction and the coating layer 5 in a cross section perpendicular to a longer direction of the cable.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
