Title:
CAISSON FOR PILE SUPPORTING TYPE BREAKWATER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS58143023
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To shorten the period of construction work by a method in which a spud is inserted through an elevating and holding device into four corners, a penetration hole for a supporting pile is provided in the bottom plate, and after setting a caisson, the spud is used as a pile.

CONSTITUTION: A caisson A is towed by a tug boat C and positioned, a spud 1 is brought down and landed on the bottom by an elevating and holding mechanism B, and thereafter, water is charged into the caisson A to settle it to a given position. Then, by removing the supporting point for the casing pipe 4 of the temporary supporting pile 5 and that of the supporting pile 5, the supporting pile 5 is fallen down, the temporary cover 6 of a penetration hole 2 is removed, and the supporting pile 5 and the spud 1 are driven and fixed by an offshore hammer. By this, in-site construction of breakwater can be easily performed by using the caisson A built on the shore.
