Abstract:
PURPOSE: To mount a non-contact type impact wave applicator for treatment of calculus capable of performing general diagnosis and treatment on a calculus work stand by providing a first shaking arm extending almost in parallel to the center axis of the work stand and a second shaking arm connected thereto in a rotatable manner with a hinge to the impact wave applicator. CONSTITUTION: The work stand 6 has an opening 20 through which the treatment unit 22 of an impact wave applicator 24 passes to protrude and the impact wave applicator 24 consists of shaking arms 26, 28 having rotary axes I, II. The treatment unit 22 connected to the elastic water cushion applied to the surface of the body of a patient is attached to the arm 28 and, at a treatment position, the rotary axis II of the arm 28 and the center axis M of the unit 22 cross each other within a calculus range. When the treatment unit 22 is moved to the treatment position by the shaking arms 26, 28 in order to connect the treatment unit 22 to the body of a patient to be utilized for the purpose of diagnosis and separate treatment, the treatment unit 22 is moved from the work range to a standby position.
