Abstract:
To provide a technology of suppressing formation of a scratch in a rolled material.SOLUTION: There is provided a caliber roll for performing rolling on a material to be rolled S. The caliber roll includes one or more groove parts 11 that is installed to extend on an outer surface of a roll 10 and in a concave shape in a peripheral direction and fits the material to be rolled S at the time of rolling. A groove part 11 includes a pair of side wall parts 12 and bottom parts 13 adjacent to the pair of side wall parts 12, respectively, as a surface facing the material to be rolled S to be fitted. The bottom part 13 in at least one groove part 11 has a chevron shape structure inclined toward the side of the material to be rolled that has been fitted as separating from each of the pair of side wall parts 12. An inclination angle θ of the chevron shape structure with respect to the roll axial direction satisfies Expression (1): 0 degree<θ≤30 degrees.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
