Abstract:
PURPOSE: To relieve incoming calls to a subscriber group by distributing the incoming calls to subscriber lines, included in an exchange where call processing is disabled owing to a fault, to other exchanges and transferring them to subscriber lines, included in other exchanges, by other exchanges to which the calls are distributed.
CONSTITUTION: The exchanges 1-3 have time-division networks 10-12, center and common line signal processors 40-42 and 50-52, and subscriber information storage devices 801 and 803, and are mutually connected by channel and signal trunks 20-23 and 30-33. If a fault occurs to disable the exchange 3 to perform call processing, the processor 40 once receiving an incoming call to a subscriber telephone set 6 in the subscriber group 4 through the network 10 sends its fault information to the processor 41 through the processor 50, networks 10 and 11, and processor 51. The processor 41 switches the incoming to the telephone set 6 to incoming to a subscriber telephone set 5 of the exchange 2 on the basis of subscriber information stored in the device 802 and performs subsequent processing. Consequently, the incoming call to the subscriber telephone set included in the exchange where the fault occurs can be relieved.
