Title:
CAM SHAFT PROCESSING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3807647
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow to process a cam shaft in which the cam face is inclined to he axial line.
SOLUTION: This cam shaft processing machine is composed of a pair of work heads 2 to rotate a work 4 by clamping both ends of the work 4 to a chuck 5; an X-axis slide 8 movable in the X-axial direction parallel to the longitudinal direction of the work 4; a Y-axis slide 11 movable in the Y-axial direction palallel to the removing and contacting direction of the work 4; an index table 13 provided at one side of the above X-axis slide 8 and the Y-axis slide 11, and can be divided in the horizontal direction by a dividing means 15; and a cutter head 20 provided at one side of the above Y-axis slide 11 and the index table 13, to which a cutter 21 to process the above work 4 is supported rotatable. Consequently, by dividing rotate the index table 13, a cam shaft in which the cam face is inclined to the axial line can be processed.
