Abstract:
To suppress camber generated during slitting that divides a metal plate in a width direction.SOLUTION: A camber control device according to the present invention comprises a rough leveler, a slitter, a final leveler, and a shape measurement device for measuring at least one of a plate thickness deviation in a plate width direction of a metal plate or a camber amount generated in the metal plate. At least one of the rough leveler and the final leveler comprises split backup rolls divided into two or more in an axial direction of a work roll, whose rolling reduction can be controlled independently. The rolling reduction of the split backup roll is controlled based on at least one of the plate thickness deviation and the camber amount measured by the shape measurement device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
