PURPOSE: To provide a camera and the display illumination device of the accessary apparatus thereof that the display illumination devices of respective display devices are interlocked and turned on or off when the camera and the accessary apparatus thereof are interlocked and used.

CONSTITUTION: A control means 103 which turns on an illumination means 100, simultaneously transmits a turning-on signal to the accessary appratus through a communication means 102 when it receives the turning-on signal from an operation member 101 or from the accessary apparatus through the communication means 102, turns off the illumination means 100 and simultaneously transmits a turning-off signal to the accessary apparatus through the communication means 102 when it receives the turning-off signal from the operation member 101 or from the accessary apparatus through the communication means 102 is provided.
