Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a camera provided with an automatic photographing mode selecting device capable of automatically selecting an optimum photographing mode in accordance with a photographing condition, and setting or confirming the selected photographing mode without depressing a shutter button.
SOLUTION: In this camera, a CPU has an automatic picture selecting function for automatically selecting an optional picture mode out of plural picture modes (program exposure mode) based on the photographing condition such as a photographing distance and a focal distance. The CPU executes the automatic selecting processing of the picture mode by the operation of a pictorial action button 17 provided separately and independently of the shutter button 15.
