PURPOSE: To make the cost low and to improve the camera shake detecting accuracy and the processing efficiency by A/D-converting the output from a camera shake detecting device plural times at intervals of specified time by means of an A/D converter incorporated in a one-chip microcomputer.
CONSTITUTION: The output from the camera shake detection circuit 5 is inputted in the A/D converter incorporated in a CPU 1 and A/D converted by four times at specified sampling intervals, for example, at the interval of 1ms, and the added value or the mean value of the result of A/D conversion performed four times is calculated. The values of the A/D conversion are dispersed due to the influence of high frequency noise in the output from the circuit 5 but the dispersion is restrained by obtaining sum or mean value thereof. By shifting a correction lens 8 in accordance with the sum or the mean value, the influence of the high frequency noise generated in the circuit 5 is restrained to correct the camera shake, so that the camera shake detecting accuracy is improved.
