Abstract:
To provide a camera system whose operability at the time of adjusting a composition is improved.
The camera system in which an imaging element is built-in comprises an imaging unit 1a for acquiring image data by focusing an object on the built-in imaging element, and a camera main body 1b in which the imaging unit 1a is detachably mounted and for performing a signal process after receiving the image signal from the imaging unit 1a. The system further comprises a turnable mechanism for changing a direction of the imaging unit 1a by turning the imaging unit 1a which is in a state of being mounted on the camera main body 1b.
