PURPOSE: To provide a camera which has the function of recording voice 'information whereby a photographer can surely record the intended voice information by enabling the contents of recordings to be checked in advance.

CONSTITUTION: When a voice-recording starting switch 10 is turned on, a control portion 1 converts a voice into an electric signal, which is in turn converted into a digital signal by an A/D converter portion 2 and stored in a storage portion 3. Next, when a voice playback starting switch 11 is turned on, the control portion 1 causes the digital signal stored in the storage portion 3 to be converted into an analog signal by a D/A converter portion 4, and the analog signal is converted by an electric signal/voice converter portion 8 into a voice which is then output. The photographer checks to see whether the voice is the same as that intended to be recorded, and woven the voice is as intended, the control portion 1 causes the voice information stored in the storage portion 3 to be magnetically recorded on the magnetic storage medium of film by means of a magnetic recording portion 5 while the film is being fed by a film feeder portion 6.
