Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the brightness of a subject in an arbitrary region of a light-receiving area in the case of photometry.SOLUTION: In a digital camera 10 including an AE sensor 34, on the basis of light quantity distribution data in which the quantity of light is reduced along a peripheral part by an optical system, a central part of a light-receiving area 34R is defined as a region in which there is not pixel addition. In a peripheral part of the light-receiving area 34R, a pixel region of an addition number 2 is set and in a portion close to an end, a pixel region of an addition number 4 is set. In the case of photometry, in accordance with a control signal from an exposure control section 50, an AE sensor drive section 29 adds and reads out pixel signals in a column direction according to the set addition numbers. The exposure control section performs gain correction processing on the basis of ratios of the added pixel signal in the peripheral part and the non-added pixel signals in the central part with a central luminance value.
