PURPOSE: To house a remote control transmitter in a space where a vibration proofing device can be housed.

CONSTITUTION: This camera has a camera body provided with a housing chamber 10a capable of housing a vibration detection device for detecting the vibration of the camera and a housing chamber 10b capable of housing a driving mechanism controlling the driving of a correction lens. Then, the outer cover CV of the camera positioned on the back surface side of the chamber 10a is cut off conforming to the external shape of the remote control transmitter 11 so that the transmitter 11 capable of executing a shutter releasing action or the like can be attached and detached to/from the inside of the chamber 10a from the back of the cut place and the appearance of the camera is not changed even when the transmitter 11 is housed. By housing the transmitter 11 in the chamber 10a instead of housing the vibration detection device in such a way, the camera body need not be newly manufactured and the cost required for manufacturing the camera is reduced.
