At this time, the flashing device is further provided with a predictive arithmetic means (processing by a CPU 1) for calculating a recycling time for a second shot with the battery checking voltage and recycling time of a first shot, at the time of executing consecutive photographing and a red-eye phenomenon reducing means (lighting control by the CPU 1) which lights the red-eye light source during a charging operation for the second shot and turns off the red-eye source, to attain the release, when charging is completed.
