Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate the possibility that a shaft is off-centered due to the processing by circular protrusions arranged on the outer peripheral surface, and automate the loading and unloading process of the shaft, in a device, in which the circular protrusions are formed on the outer peripheral surface, and the circular protrusions are pressed-in in sub-assemblies to manufacture the camshafts.
CONSTITUTION: A chuck 11 for holding the upper end of a shaft 1, and a chuck holder 14 for rotating the chuck, are provided on a lift 17 as a pressing-in means, a center 12 is provided co-axially with the chuck 11 so that it can move up and down, a circular protrusion-processing means capable of moving radially relative to the chuck-shaft is provided, and plural clampers 20 are arranged on a turntable 18 crossing the chuck-shaft at right angles along the same circumference at equal angles. A shaft-receiving/delivering means provided with an arm gripper 15 allowing each clamper 20 to hold sub-assembly 2, conveying a new shaft received from a shaft supply part to an assembling position held by the chuck 11, and receiving an assembled shaft from the chuck 11 and conveying it to the shaft supply part, is provided.
