Abstract:
To provide a can lid having a structure that has improved pressure resistant strength for buckling and, at the same time, is made less unlikely to crack even if buckling occurs.
In the can lid, configured such that an annular groove 5 is formed along the peripheral edge of a center panel 2 with the inner side wall 51 of the annular groove 5 connected to the peripheral edge of the center panel 2, and the outer side wall 52 of the annular groove 5 to the basal end of a chuck wall 3, the height of the outer side wall is changed circumferentially so that the outer side wall in the direction in which the material strength is low may be higher than the outer side wall in the direction in which the material strength is high.
