PURPOSE: To prevent external appearance of a candle device from being degraded if a candle becomes short by having an elastic member always energizing upward in relation to a case bottom between the case bottom and a lower surface of the candle and providing an inner-projecting stopper abutting to an upper surface of the candle to an upper edge of the case.

CONSTITUTION: A candle 2 is lit on and then, wax of the candle 2 melts from the upper portion, so that the candle 2 gradually becomes short. Since the candle 2 is energized upward in relation to the bottom of a candle housing case 1 by a compressing coil spring 3, the candle is pressed up by the compressing coil spring 3 in accordance with melting of the candle wax. An edge portion of the upper surface of the candle is held in the case 1 in a state of abutting to an inner-projecting edge 5. Therefore, the external appearance of the candle device does not change if the candle 1 gradually becomes short.
