Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a canister designed to allow the rapid immersion of the canister into a low-temp. preserving liquid without the danger of flowing of a specimen container out of the canister. CONSTITUTION: The canister has a cap (5) supported at the rod (3) of the canister movably between a first position which is a so-called close position to prevent the escape of the specimen container (20) from a vessel above the upper opening of this vessel (1) and a second position. The canister is used for storage of a biological product in the cryogenic liquid vessel.
