Abstract:

To provide a canned linear motor armature which reduces an increase in temperature of the surface of the armature, and prevents heat insulation performance to the armature surface from being changed with time without increasing the thickness of the canned linear motor armature, and to provide a canned linear motor.

The canned linear motor armature includes armature winding 105 which is formed like a plate comprising a plurality of coil groups, a can 102 which is arranged on the surface of the armature winding 105, and a coolant passage 110 which is formed inside the can 102. In the armature, the armature winding 105 is provided in a metallic casing 101 which is hollow to surround the winding like a frame. Both openings of the casing 101 are sealed with the can 102. The periphery of the can 102 is provided with a plate-shaped vacuum container 121 which is sealed with its inside in a vacuum state. A vacuum section 122 is provided in the space surrounded by the can 102, the casing 101, and the armature winding 105.
