PURPOSE: To ensure fitting of the stylus, by inserting the square stylus into the inclined aperture part of the pipe-shaped cantilever base to position it, in the pickup cartridge.

CONSTITUTION: Pipe-shaped cantilever base 1 has inclined aperture part 2 where the tip is cut at a prescribed angle. Stylus 3 is inserted into inclined aperture part 2 and is fixed by adhesive 4 and has square fitting part 3a to cantilever base 1; and when square fitting part 3a is inserted into inclined aperture part 2 of cantilever base 1, two edge corner parts 5 and 6 in the tip side of cantilever base 1 are brought into contact with the hollow inside face of cantilever base 1, and two edge corner parts 7 and 8 in the back side of cantilever base 1 are brought into contact with the cut of inclined aperture part 2, thereby positioning the square stylus to cantilever base 1.
