Abstract:

To provide a cutting arrangement and method for making a tamper device for closing a cap.SOLUTION: The cap is fed to a cutting device on which a first force and a second force are simultaneously exerted, the first force keeping a cutting portion of the device in an operative position, and the second force causing the cutting portion to retreat to a safety position, where the first force is greater than the second force. In the event of an anomalous situation like an interruption of an electric power supply, the first force is reduced so that the second force can exceed the first force to move the cutting portion to the safety position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
