PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe end cap with strong force for engagement with a pipe wall, and to make pushing-in of the pipe end cap into the pipe easy on installation.
SOLUTION: A leaf spring-fixing column is fixed at the center in a cap body 12 and a radially-shaped leaf spring 14 having a plurality of blades 16 is fixed at the tip of the leaf spring-fixing column. The front end edge of each of the blades 16 is shaped in such that a right-angled corner (a) is formed at the corner on one side in the circumferential direction and circular arc-shaped part (b) is formed at the corner on the other side. The pipe end cap 11 constructed as above is put on the pipe end with the radially-shaped leaf spring 14 thrust into the pipe. With the pipe end cap 11 thrust, being turned in the direction as indicated with an arrow, each of the circular arc-shaped parts (b) is positioned at the front in the turning direction, and thrusting can be made smoothly without allowing the front end edge of each of the blades 16 to be caught at the pipe wall. With turning made in the reversed direction as indicated with an arrow after thrusting is made up to the inner part, the sharp angled corner (a) of each of the blades 16 is caught at the pipe wall, and thereby the radially- shaped leaf spring 14 can be engaged strongly with the pipe wall so that it cannot be fallen easily.
