Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen the degree of freedom of setting a cap on a writing instrument tip section while securing sufficiently the strength of mold parts for molding integrally the cap for the writing instrument.
SOLUTION: The length of one of mold parts for interal molding can be reduced by molding integrally an inner cap 4 and an outer cap 3 constituting a cap 1 for a writing instrument connected with and retained together by a plurality of vertical ribs 10 on a step section 5 formed almost on the intermediate position of the inner cap to improve the mold strength and its durability. As the vertical ribs for connecting the inner cap with the outer cap and retaining them together are formed almost on the intermediate position of the inner cap, a free end of the inner cap can be rocked freely in the left and right direction, and the inner cap is rocked properly in compliance with the inserting direction of the tip of the writing instrument to adjust the alignment of a writing shaft with the inner cap, widen the degree of freedom of setting the cap for the instrument and reduce the cost for a product.
