Abstract:
PURPOSE: To supply pulsed electric discharge with high electric power for a short time by installing a pair of electric conductive support bodies which is not penetrated with an electrolytic solution accumulated in the outside of each electrode on the opposite to a separator and retaining the electrolytic solution between the electrodes. CONSTITUTION: A battery 10 comprises a layered body of capacitive battery cells 11, a positive terminal 12 of the layered body, and a negative terminal 13 in the other end of the layered body and each cell 11 is provided with a pair of parted electrodes and a separator 17 inserted between the electrodes. The outside of respective electrode pairs 16 is coated with pairs of sheet 18-like conductive support bodies, sheets which are not conductive connect the inner surrounding of respective pairs of the electrodes 16 to prevent leakage, evaporation, and/or pollution of the liquid electrolyte and a separator 17. Further, cells 11 are surrounded with a suitable housing 21 and terminals 12, 13 are extended through the housing 21. Since the sheets 18 are stable to the electrolytic solution and are not penetrated with the electrolytic solution, pulsed electric discharge with high electric power is carried out even for a short time.
