Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide capsiate production methods for increasing the amount of capsiate contained in Capsicum annuum to enable stable capsiate supply.SOLUTION: A production method of Capsicum annuum with high content of capsiate is characterized by comprising inducing a plant belonging to Capsicum annuum family to parthenocarpy, pulverizing the plant, and immersing it into a solvent to extract capsiate. As a method of inducing the parthenocarpy, a method of subjecting an ovary of a plant belonging to the Capsicum annuum to immersion treatment with a plant hormone.SELECTED DRAWING: None
