Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a safety by inhibiting a deformation of a passenger compartment by exactly absorbing an input load by appropriately deforming a member at the time of front collision while a traveling stability of a car body is ensured in a car body structure.
SOLUTION: A chassis cross member 16 is disposed below a lower part of an engine room 18 against right and left front side members 11. A bolt insertion hole 23 is formed on an upper portion of an arm part 17 of the chassis cross member 16, a control ring 26 is attached thereto and a notch part 24 opened to a front side is provided. A bolt 25 is inserted to a bolt tightening hole 23 and the arm part 17 is tightened to the front side member 11. When a drive shaft 20 is collided to the arm part 17 and a larger load than a predetermined value is applied thereto at the time of front collision of the vehicle, the control ring 26 is deformed or broken to separate the arm part 17 from the bolt 25.
