Abstract:
An inspection system capable of inspecting the repair record of an automobile efficiently and exactly. The inspection system for judging the availability of the repair record of an automobile comprises a storage means for storing the reference values of film thickness of paint at specific outer panel part and frame part of the automobile for every model, model year, mileage and area of automobile, a means for reading out a first reference value corresponding to an inspection object automobile out of the above-mentioned reference values from the storage means based on the model, model year, mileage and area of the inspection object automobile, a comparing means for comparing the film thickness values obtained by measuring the specific outer panel part and frame part of the inspection object automobile by a film thickness measuring means with the first reference value, and a means for judging that the inspection object automobile has a repair record if there is a measured film thickness value having an error of predetermined ratio or above from the first reference value based on the comparison result from the comparing means.
