Abstract:

PURPOSE: To suppress control shock by performing engine output control and brake liquid pressure control on the basis of speed difference between the drive wheels and follower wheels, and selecting each control optimally in accordance with the speed difference when slip of the drive wheels is to be suppressed.

CONSTITUTION: Output from an engine 11 is transmitted to a transmission 13 through a clutch 12, and thus the drive wheels 15 are rotated to generate the propulsive force of a car. When the speed difference between the drive 15 and follower 14 wheels exceeds the threshold value, an electronic control device 17 opens and closes the throttle 11a of the engine 11 to control its output, and also the liquid pressure of each brake 16 is adjusted to accomplish control of the braking force. As a result, slip of the drive wheels 15 is suppressed. Therein the threshold value of speed difference for brake liquid pressure control is set higher than the threshold value of speed difference for engine output control. Thus each control is made in optimum selection to achieve suppression of control shocks.
