Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbide tool excellent in a tool life.SOLUTION: A carbide tool 1 comprises a base material 2 and a hard protective film 3. The base material 2 is made of two or more kinds of materials selected from a group of WC, Co, TiC and TaC including at least WC and Co. The base material 2 includes a surface 21 with a texture. The texture includes a plurality of recesses 4 arranged in a matrix shape in which an opening diameter of the recess 4 is 0.05-0.2 μm, a depth of the recess 4 is 0.05-0.1 μm, and an interval between adjacent recesses 4 is 0.2-1.0 μm. The hard protective film 3 is formed on the texture. The hard protective film 3 includes at least one kind of material selected from a group of a metal nitride, a metal carbide, and a metal carbonitride, and a metal oxide.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
