Abstract:

To obtain a carbon-based contacting plate excellent in wear resistance and also, arc-resistance.

This contacting plate is formed from a material composed of the carbon and copper as the main components and further, containing carbon fiber and ceramics having in the range of 10-20 GPa of Vickers hardness Hv. The above material is desirable that R value =(I1360/I1580) defined with the ratio of D band/G band obtained in a Raman spectrum analysis, by using Nd:YAG laser beam having 532 nm wave-length after applying a heat-treatment at 2000C, is 0.6.
